Alright folks,
I know this was covered before but I would need your expertise in what to make certain what to have for my CLassic car insurance. Also if you have any pros & cons on what company to go with would be appreciated. THanks a lot

I am with Hagerty for the wagon(modified) and the HenryJ(stock). As I have had no claims I cannot comment personally as to how they handle claims. Your home/ car insurance may have a classic car connection that you can put on your car. Make sure it is a fully agreed upon value as Hagerty does.

I am with Hagerty as well and they have been great to deal with over the years. I did have a substantial claim with them a few years ago when the motor blew in my '55 and resulted in fire damage to the car. The engine was not covered but the resulting fire damage was. I had no trouble at all with the claim process and getting the car fixed. The important piece is to arrive at an agreed value for your car. The amount of the premium is driven from that.

I am with Zehr, thru Oegema, Nicholson. My home/car insurance will not cover the vintage car. They have (from my research)very competitive pricing ( read less expensive then Hagerty/Aviva, but the best part is that their plan covers for $7000 of additional parts not on car. Only drawback is that you cannot turn of the coverage in the winter.

Thank you all for the great replies. I will make certain I have the agreed value and then I guess it's just shopping around between them......and of course it might be different in "La Belle Province".....to follow
