As I'm sure you're all aware, stroker engines are nothing new, since serious engine builders and drag racers from back-in-the-day were creating them from mixing/matching and experimenting with stock parts in an effort to generate more HP, more Torque and lower ET's. Today it's easier to create a Stroker engine since many of the popular combos can pretty much be assembled by ordering up a ready-made, matched-part kit and bolting it all together. Who among us wondered why a Chevy guy would install a BB Mopar 383 in their Chevelle or Camaro the 1st time we heard of someone puttin' a 383 in their ride. Now the stroked venerable 350 which yields 383 cu/in is one of the most popular SBC stroker engines. I've been asked many times at car shows/cruise nights why I put a Chrysler engine in my '55!
