We are once again closing in the Syracuse Nationals......hopefully all this rain we are having these days is ancient history by July!
New this year is a car auction being held on the grounds on Saturday July 15 beginning at noon! See www.rightcoastcars.com for more info if you want to sell a car or sign up as a bidder.

Another update for the upcoming Nationals in July....... Paul Teutal Jr. of Paul Jr. Designs (and formerly of Orange County Choppers and American Chopper TV show) will be at the 2017 Nationals! A very creative custom motorcycle builder!

Brian.......you forgot to mention that the Syracuse Nationals have adjusted their model year restrictions for the Nationals. I believe that in 2016 the cutoff year was 1980 vintage and older and this year that has been changed to 1985 vintage and older. I assume this is being done to ensure that the show continues to maintain and/or grow the annual participation base. It will be interesting to see if the numbers increase this year as a result.

Yes quite right!! I was about to post that info....... also the fact that they are taking Canadian dollars at par for the entry fees which is a nice break when the exchange rate is not in our favour these days.
Bumping the age up to 1985 also reflects that there is tons more parking available with the renovations/removal of the old race track and grandstand.

I got a letter that a group are arranging daily events starting Sunday in conjunction with Street Rodder 2017 ROAD TOUR, visits to some local car shops, Tucci etc. Also on Wed nights they block off a side street next to Americar rental and repair for burnouts. www.americarsyr.com/

I'm guessing that they'll need to add more tram wagons. Even last year it was quite noticeable as to how overcrowded the existing fleet was.

Do you need to call and register to ensure Canadian money at par?

Do you need to call and register to ensure Canadian money at par? That would be the best way to go. Call Keith toll free at 1-800-753-3978.

For the early birds headed to the Nationals on Thursday July 13 or earlier, once again this year is the annual Free Picnic held at Oneida Shores Park at Exit 31, off I81. It will be held July 13 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. while food supplies last! Be sure to bring your Nationals credentials or the confirmation letter for access to the picnic.
Also on Thursday July 13 is the Poker Run with cash and prizes to be won! Registration is at the host hotel, Holiday Inn, 441 Electronics Parkway, between 8 a.m. and 12 noon. The poker run runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Both events are great way to kick off what is always a fantastic weekend!
As always for more details, visit www.syracusenationals.com or www.rightcoastcars.com

With just over a week to go until the Nationals....the long range weather forecast is looking typical for Syracuse......warm temperatures and sunshine with chances of some rain thrown in! It wouldn't be a Syracuse weekend without some "liquid sunshine" (as they like to call it at the show) thrown into the mix!
