Yah, I have a 750 Demon on the BB now, and I have a 850 Holley on the shelf as well. I had a 750 Edelbrick in stock until this spring but a street rod owner talked me into selling it to him... I get tons more top end with the 850 on there. It would be interesting to see how much more there is in there with a 1000 on top....Yee Haw!!! Roger, I saw a 1050 Dominator for sale for pretty cheap the other day. I can't remember if I saw it on Kijiji or the FB group 613 cars and parts for sale (I think you're linked up with that group). If yer gonna go big.....that's where ya wanna go....1050 DOMINATOR Baby.

I used to run a 650 Holley in my old Camaro's and Z28...seem fine, but I had a friend set it back then, did not know what I was doing at that time, other than basic engine build stuff. Not that I know what I doing these days either? LOL. I can set up Edelbricks pretty easy enough...Still learning the metering rods, jet ratio's etc., but have a good feel for it. The main thing is setting up your Air fuel mixture screws properly, choke setting, idle setting, linkages and wide open throttle, proper port settings and your pretty good to go. I use a vacuum gauge and tach on my gun. On the Thunder series, they have a secondary valve adjust. Fun to play with...I would like to try a "Demon Carb" with the Goggle Valve, I have read good reviews about their carbs. they sure look cool and very sleek.
Your right Mersey about folks sticking to a brand carb they like. I prefer the quad jets, but Holleys always look Bad Ass with the double pumper style and do Roar when their set up right.

It's my first Edelbrock on the Camino. Was thinking of changing it but gonna wait a while. From the research I've done they sound pretty user friendly and are pretty much ''plug and play.''

I ran 2 800 Edelbrocks them switched to a single 1050. Definitely prefer the Holley. Adjustable air bleeds and fuel passage restrictors! Fun stuff.
